The digital map layers and tabular data used
within the Santa Cruz County GIS have been compiled from many different sources.
Therefore, the accuracy of the individual digital map layers and tabular data varies
significantly, and some digital map layers do not align exactly with other digital
map layers. In urban Santa Cruz County areas, the parcel boundaries are generally
accurate to within five to ten feet of their true geographic coordinates.
However, in rural areas of Santa Cruz County the map layers may be accurate to only
within three hundred feet. Due to the limitation of the digital map layers
and tabular data, field studies and information from site inspections may be used
to supplement or replace mapped information. With these limitations, the County
of Santa Cruz disclaims any responsibility for the accuracty or correctness of the
digital map layers and tabular data. This disclaimer is exclusive and in lieu
of any warranties, fitness for particular purpose, and/or any other type of warranty,
expressed or implied.
The County of Santa Cruz shall not be liable
to users of the digital map layers and tabular data or to any other person, individual,
company, association, firm, corporation, or public or private entity regardless
of the nature of the organization for any loss or damage, whether consequential
or otherwise, including but not limited to time, money or goodwill arising from
the use, operation or modification of the digital map layers and tabular data.
In using the digital map layers and tabular data, the user further agrees to indemnify,
defend and hold harmless the County of Santa Cruz, it's officers, agents, and employees
from any and all claims, liabilities, and losses whatsoever (together with any expenses,
damages, court costs, and reasonable attorney's fees related thereto) arising out
of or resulting from use of the digital map layers and tabular data.
INSTRUCTIONS
After you Select "I Accept" above you will
be taken to the 'Elections Precinct Mapping' application. The graphic below shows the
two ways you can search on the site. On the left, you can seach by Precinct, Address,
or Assessors Parcel Number (APN). On the rigth you can select a layer, for example
Water Districts, and then select feature, for example Central Water District. When
you seach by Address or Parcel, a listing of your precinct and other special districts
is provided.
